Vessel of Concern Knowledge Vessel of Concern Knowledge An understanding of the Oceans Protection Plan mandate concerning the management of wrecked and abandoned vessels, inclusive of the plan aimed to protect Canada's marine environment.	2 Position Level: 2 Novice (A level of experience has been obtained; may need help when performing a task/skill) Knowledge of the elements within the Vessels of Concern program area. Knowledge of DFO’s Small Craft Harbours Abandoned and Wrecked Vessels Removal Program and some of the stakeholders to be consulted prior to decisions being made. Knowledge of the different roles and responsibilities of the DFO, Transport Canada, and Coast Guard in the implementation of the Vessels of Concern Program. Awareness of the established enforcement regime. Knowledge of the program issues and challenges related to the hundreds of problem vessels in Canadian waters.
